In honor of the launch of the new www.quiksilver.com website, Quiksilver and TransWorld Surf have teamed up to give you the chance to win $500 worth of Quiksilver denim and gear.
The question was: In less than 100 words, what’s the best song ever used in a surf movie and why.
And the winner is (drum roll please) Jason Hase from San Clemente, CA.
Here’s Jason’s winning entry:
I grew up in the 80s and had posters of Pottz, Archy, and Curren all over my walls. That might explain why for me, the best song ever used in a surf movie would be “Don’t Change” by INXS. The 80s were a time that changed the style and movement of surfing. People were surfing faster, harder, doing bigger turns, and higher airs and this song was a great reflection of that style. This song, still playing today (I heard it on 91X this morning of all things) would still be a great fit for about any surf movie out now.
Congratulations on winning $500 worth of killer new Quiksilver denim and gear Jason! Contact us at email@example.com with your sizes and shipping info.
