October 11, 2004–Irvine, CA–Billabong juniors is proud to present its latest innovative swim collection, “Comp Series, to the 2005 Spring Line. Designed for the competitive athlete and avid surfer, the “Comp Series features a group of swimwear that is endorsed by world-class surfer and Billabong team rider Keala Kennelly.
“The Comp Series offers something new to the market, and was created for the growing number of girls who are helping to push the progression of women’s surfing said Candy Harris, brand manager for Billabong juniors. “With the Comp Series we wanted to take Keala’s feedback and build the ultimate competitor’s suit.
The Billabong design team has worked hard to translate a surf lifestyle into a line of swimwear that is functional and comfortable for athletes. “It was great to work with Billabong and help design a line of suits that stays in place in the most critical situations weather I’m surfing heavy waves at Teahupoo or training long hours on the beach said Kennelly. Both fit and function were tested by Keala to ensure that the tops were designed specifically not to rub or irritate the skin when paddling out for long sessions and that the bottoms could withstand the consequences of dropping into big waves.
The Comp Series suits are color blocked in bright combinations and have the Billabong logo screened on the back pant and front bra. Devoted to function, fit and comfort, the Comp Series is a great opportunity for girls to find both style and performance focused swim in one suit.
