Billabong Pro: Jeffreys Bay On Hold Again But Forecast Is Promising
Despite small waves again leading to the Billabong Pro, Jeffreys Bay being placed on hold for Monday, organisers are smiling as the forecast over the next few days looks extremely promising.
The event, the sixth on the Foster’s ASP Men’s World Tour, has two full days of competition remaining to complete and organizers are waiting for premium conditions here at the world class Jeffreys Bay before getting under way again.
Contest Director, Mike Parsons was now positive that quality waves are definitely on the way.
“The forecast looks great! said Parsons. “We might start to see a rise by tomorrow afternoon but it’s more like Wednesday, Thursday, Friday that we’ll see it really roll in. It really does look promising.
The Billabong Pro has round three (16 heats), round four (eight heats), quarter finals (four heats), semi-finals (two heats) and final (one heat) to complete. .
