Welcome Rivers presents Slow Run to No One

By: Lindsay Fraka

The Slow Run to No One exibition took over Insight Clothing's LA store in Venice recently and featured 'photographs and things by T. Grady Archbold and Warren Smith'. The store quickly was invaded by the crowds ready to check out the display, enjoy music and live show by TRMRS & Tomorrows Tulips and DJ Geometric, and possibly have a cocktail or two. The art will be available for viewing at the store until October 5th.

A return to old-school measuring techniques is in order

Consider two representations of two very big waves, below. The first is a photograph of Mike Parsons at Cortes Bank. The second is a video of Garrett McNamara near Nazare, Portugal. Now take out some measuring tape and make the distance of one foot between your hands. That's the amount, according to the Billabong XXL committee, that McNamara's wave is bigger than Parsons's wave.
