Hawaiian Coco Ho took out the Oakley World Pro Jr Bali this morning in solid surf at Canguu, narrowly beating Aussie Dimity Stoyle in a close final.Ho had the notable advantage of 3 years experience on the World Tour, so despite barely breaking out of her teens, she feels like a veteran against the juniors. Even with this win, Coco doesn't plan to compete in the next Jr series event in Brazil. Apparently the men on the WCT aren't the only ones who try to avoid going there.
"I don't think I'm going to Brazil for the next event. I came here to surf Keramas and I didn't even have a heat out there, but that's ok because the right at Canggu is way more rippable."
The boys are ready to do battle, with the quarterfinal matchups set to go. FIrst call at 6:30 am for a 7 am start, local bali time. Live here.
