Rick Griffin/Hurley Art Event at Mollusk

COSTA MESA, CA - September 20, 2011 - Hurley has announced the launch of the Rick Griffin limited-edition collection, celebrating the life and work of one of California's most iconic artists. The line is the latest from Hurley's H Space Artist Collections, an on-going series of exclusive printable collections celebrating artists within the Hurley family that have helped shape the surf, art, & music landscape.



"We are very proud to celebrate Rick's life and breadth of work across surf, music and popular culture with this collection," says Scott Patt, VP of Art, Hurley. "It's an amazing honor to keep the timeless Griffin legacy alive for future fans and fanatics past."

The collection will feature a series of five graphic t-shirts as well as a limited-run of Jack Purcell shoes featuring one of Griffin's most well-known original characters, Murphy. The collection will launch exclusively at Mollusk Surf Shops in Brooklyn, Venice and San Francisco in mid-November and will be celebrated with exclusive parties on November 8th at Mollusk Brooklyn and November 10th at the Mollusk Venice. Select friends and family of Hurley, Mollusk and local surf/lifestyle tastemakers will enjoy music, drinks and appetizers and the first opportunity to shop the full Rick Griffin collection.

The collection will become available nationwide in mid-December 2011 at select retail locations.
