July 5th. "This is the worst day of my life".

Ive said that every July 5th (or "national hangover day") for about 9 years straight now. If i were to make a list of things that i would least want to do after drinking myself retarded for 18 hours straight, "trip to mexico" would be somewhere near the top. Keep that in mind as you watch this video from my buddy Timmy Ryan, who shot and edited this. He was even kind enough to include a nice little intro:

"We flew down to mainland Mexico with only a few days notice after tracking the swell for a couple of weeks. All the stars seemed to be lining up for good conditions. Light winds, significant swell heights and periods, no heavy rains in the forecast, good tides, and the fact that it was arriving the day after the biggest national holiday in the world the crowd should be minimal. We flew out early on July 5, surfed for 8 hours each of the next three days and flew back without a problem. We scored perfect waves that ran forever and the best day only saw 20 lucky individuals.
