Two One-Hour Specials Showcase World’s Best Pro Surfers Competing at Famed Lower Trestles as part of Mainland America’s Only World Championship Tour (WCT) Event
IRVINE, Calif. — FUEL TV will showcase mainland America’s most important surfing event with a telecast of the fourth annual Boost Mobile Pro of Surf presented by Quiksilver — the eighth leg of the 11-round Foster’s Men’s World Tour, following events in the best wave locations throughout the world including Australia, Tahiti, Fiji, South Africa and Japan. Airing at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on Nov. 7 and 5:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 13 (check local listings), FUEL TV’s one-hour broadcast of the Boost Mobile Pro will highlight forty-eight of the world’s top professional surfers as they compete in high-performance waves for $270,000 in prize money, including Kelly Slater’s dramatic victory that strengthened his bid for a record-breaking seventh world title.
This year’s Boost Mobile Pro will also feature the Mazda Big Airshow, celebrity surf heat, lifestyles of professional surfing and highlights from one of the busiest weeks in the action sports industry including the Surfer Poll Awards and festivities surrounding the Action Sports Retailer trade show.
Reaching an estimated 300 million homes, an international highlights TV show will also be distributed around the globe by TWI (Transworld International) with additional Boost Mobile Pro airings on Canal Plus in France on Oct. 19, Supersport in Africa on Oct 26 and Sky New Zealand on Nov 2.
