Matix is proud to announce the addition of Brian Toth to the team. Toth is a 22-year old charger who hails from Isabela, Puerto Rico. Tothy first gained National attention when he won Explorer Juniors, Explorer Mens and Open Mens at the 2003 NSSA Eastern Championships. Tothy’s hat trick was a first in NSSA regional history. Since that time he has gone on to a career high rating of 55th on the WQS and notched wins at the 2006 Unsound Pro in New York and the 2007 Belmar Pro in New Jersey.
Tothy will be focusing his energy in ’08 on photo trips and the domestic professional events. “I am super psyched to be with a company like Matix that finally shares my vision of both competing and shooting photos! Tothy will be charging right out of the New Year’s gate into the WQS 5* at Sebastian Inlet in Florida and then onto some magazine trips. “You couldn’t ask for better qualities in a team rider such as Tothy. You can drop him in all types of conditions from 2-20 ft. and he’ll blow up. Plus he knows how to win heats! said Brandy Faber, Matix Surf Brand Manager. Keep your eyes peeled for Tothy in 08!
