Los Angeles, Calif., June 23, 2004 – Dickies Girl is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Burke as its new Marketing Director. In this role, Burke directs and oversees all aspects of the marketing department including advertising, public relations, retail support, trade shows, events and the company website, and reports directly to CEO and President Masud Sarshar.
“All of us at Dickies Girl are extremely excited to have Chris on board,” said Masud Sarshar. “He brings tremendous marketing experience and talent to our team and will help focus our marketing and branding efforts as we continue to grow and move forward.”
A seasoned industry professional, Burke is best known for his creative and marketing efforts as one of the founders for successful start-up brands Arnette and Von Zipper. A California native, Burke grew up surfing and held the title of U.S. Amateur Champion in 1983 and graced the cover of Surf Magazine in 1986.
His action sports background and grassroots marketing experience are a perfect match for Dickies Girl’s historically unobtrusive marketing approach.
