COSTA MESA, CA; July 4, 2008: A recent blitzkrieg of new marketing initiatives from thirty year old heritage surf brand Ocean And Earth, surfer/shaper phenom Cordell Miller has recently been added to the growing list of sponsored riders.
“Cordy”, as he is commonly known in and around the Southern California surf scene is a feature in the landscape of Orange Country surfing and the all-time heavyweight local of the left at Lower Tressles. “Cordell is an incredible ambassador for O&E for a litany of reasons, but for us, he represents our values and he surfs more than anyone. We couldn’t be happier about our new commitment with him,” said Matt Patterson, Ocean and Earth’s US Marketing Director.
Cordell started his surfing career out as a pre-teen in Newport Beach and honed his skills while sponsored by Quiksilver, then Billabong through his adolescent years. When Miller began traveling the world as sponsored pro he realized he needed better equipment and taught himself how to shape his own boards. Born from a frustration with the status quo, Cordell developed a new approach to board design and has since made more than 20,000 surfboards.
