The California Surf Festival is coming once again to Oceanside and this year will feature the Hot Grom Shorts Film Contest. Kids 19 years and under can try their hand at making their very own surf or skate film that will play if chosen for the festival. Films must be made by kids and be under 5 minutes in length.
Accepted films will be screened at the Sunshine Brooks Theatre in downtown Oceanside noon to 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2009 and noon to 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 22, 2009.
Awards presentation will be Sunday November 22, 2009 at 4:30 pm at the Sunshine Brooks Theater.
Prizes to be awarded for Best Film, Best Story, Best Production, Grand Prize winner will receive a surfboard from Fire Wire and lots of swag for all winners.
Tickets: Filmmakers will receive a Filmmakers Pass — an all screenings pass to all films shown during the California Surf Festival — and 2 complimentary tickets for your family or friends to the Hot Grom Shorts screenings.
