“Dialed In will capture the dynamic culture of action sports in Southern California. The action sports phenomenon in So Cal is like no other market, where one can cross over sport to sport in a single day. Whether it’s surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding or motocross many young Los Angeles adults do it all. From the ocean to the mountains to the desert, this diverse geography keeps young LA extremely active.
Hosted by surfing legend Christian Fletcher and co-hosted by female pro-surfer Amy Cobb, “Dialed In will take you to the biggest happenings in action sports. The show will act as a resource by letting viewers know what spots are going off and when. Many top professionals in action sports live right here in Los Angeles, and viewers will have the opportunity to see top pro’s do what they do best at their favorite locales.
The show will feature local heroes that make a difference in the community, for example, skateboard programs for troubled kids and surfing programs for handicapped kids.
The key to “Dialed In is “keeping it real, and that LTN will do. The program will strive to be intensely relevant and participate in the tight community of action sports and showcase these modern day athletes.
Fyi, LTN is already garnering respectful numbers amongst both men and women 18-34 in its first couple of weeks on air. And, much to Nielsen’s surprise, the network did move the needle their first week on air. Additionally, LTN has launched its new full blown web site, www.ltnla.com, and this serves as the ultimate distribution compliment to LTN’s KVMD-TV platform and acts as a resource where viewers can explore LTN’s content to a deeper extent.
LTN, keeping it local, is the first television network in the United States to offer local programming exclusively to the 18-34 demographic. The network’s original programming includes looks at Southern California’s nightlife, music and entertainment industries in “City Vibe, “Rough Cut L.A., and “Night Guide; fashion trend spotting and shopping in “Belle du Jour; travel and lifestyle in “Local Explorer, “Red Light, and “L.A. Flavor; and a unique look at sports with “Ballin and “Dialed In. LTN airs nightly from 8 p.m. to midnight on KVMD-TV.
