The X-Dance Action Sport Film Festival is bringing the world’s best action sport films to Hollywood! This series celebrates the industry’s top filmmakers and athletes in the worlds of skating, surfing, snowboarding, skiing, bmx, motocross, wakeboarding and mountain biking. Many of the films in the series were featured over the last five years at the X-Dance Festival, which runs concurrently with the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. This action sports series also includes core classics and sneak peeks of 2006 releases. Each screening is followed by Q&A sessions with the filmmaker and athletes. Join us every month at Cinespace in Hollywood.

Somewhere, Anywhere, Everywhere – Globe Shoes’ first ever surf movie won Best Editing at the X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival! Somewhere Anywhere Everywhere documents surfing today as seen through the eyes of CJ Hobgood, Mark Occhilupo, Taj Burrow, Damien Hobgood, Luke Hitchings, Pancho Sullivan, and Nathan Webster. Shot across the globe in locations like Hawaii, Caribbean, Australia, Tahiti,the South Pacific, Mexico, Central America and California, the film profiles several of the sport’s greatest talent in the world’s greatest waves. The title speaks to the unforgiving drive that surfers have, with particular reference to the surfers on the Globe team. Somewhere in the world all eyes are on CJ Hobgood. Anywhere Taj Burrow goes he is the most radical surfer in the world. Everywhere the Globe surf team goes there is a unique story to be told.
Chichagof “The Hook” – won Best Core Film at X-Dance. The film documents Volcom’s powerhouse skate team as they explore the architecture and concrete around the world on trips through Asia, South Africa, Europe, South and North America. This film features the skating of Geoff Rowley, Mark Appleylard, Dustin Dollin, Rune Glifberg, Darrell Stanton, Caswell Berry, Ryan Sheckler, Dennis Busenitz, Javier Sarmiento, Alan Peterson, Aaron Suski, and many more. Chichagof is dedicated to the memory of Scott Stamnes who graced the screen of Volcom’s first skate film “Freedom Wig.”
