July 5 FUEL TV Celebrates Wahine Wednesday

LOS ANGELES, CA – FUEL TV, the only network dedicated to action sports, launches three new series and one returning series on Sunday, July 2, beginning at 8:00pm ET/PT. Leading off Stacked Sundays is returning series “10 Count” followed by FUEL TV new original series “Drive Thru: South Africa,” “American Misfits” and “Nitro Circus.” On Sunday, August 13, FUEL TV premieres the second season of the only wakeboarding series on television “Pull.”

Hosted by Mike Carter, “10 Count” highlights the most talented athletes, best tricks, and biggest locations of the sports you love. Produced with RedSquare Productions, this season “10 Count” zeroes in on the top ten international action sports stars from the land down under to Latin America, the top ten backyards and powerhouses of action sports, top ten jibbers and rail riders and reignites the goofy foot versus regular foot discussion among skateboarders with top ten riders in each category. See who a panel of athletes, insiders, and industry voices pushes to the top of the list.

At 8:30pm ET/PT, FUEL TV premieres the third installment of the popular surf adventure “Drive Thru” series from producer Greg Browning. “Drive Thru: South Africa” follows pro surfers Donovan Frankenreiter, Benji Weatherley, and Pat O’Connell this time joined by road trip rookies Noodles, Mike Losness and the legendary Martin “Pottz” Potter in a search for perfect waves from South Africa’s Durban beach breaks to Jeffrey’s Bay. When they’re not dodging sharks, riding ostriches and jumping off bridges, the boys experience the culture of South African life and find reward in a perfect J-Bay session.

Inspired by the DVD of the same name, Laban Pheidias and Ted Newsome re-imagine “American Misfits” into a fast-paced, half-hour sketch comedy series for FUEL TV. About skateboarding and its world of colorful individuals, “American Misfits” features new-breed rippers, top pro skaters and old-school legends mixed with its own unique brand of comedy and sketches.

Sundays at 9:30pm ET/PT, “Nitro Circus” makes its debut as a six-part series. Travis Pastrana’s “Nitro Circus” throws you into a world of heroics, hilarity, and sheer insanity. From freestyle motocross to impromptu thrills, this series chronicles Pastrana and his all-star FMX crew of Nitro Circus clowns – Kenny Bartram, Andy Bell, Gregg Godfrey, Ronnie Renner and more – as they tear apart Pastrana’s infamous backyard testing ground.

Following the conclusion of “Nitro Circus,” FUEL TV premieres season two of the only wakeboarding series on television, “Pull” by Alliance Wakeboard Magazine. Beginning, August 13 at 9:30pm ET/PT, “Pull” offers viewers a look into the personalities and progression of the wake sports. This season includes road trips to Lake Santa Maria in mainland Mexico, Lake Orakei Karako in New Zealand, and a look back at Scott Byerly’s legendary career as we also cover his third and most progressive wakeskate event, the Toe Jam. “Pull” also catches up with Keith Lyman, follows the Quiksilver Team to Chicago and goes on the road with Danny Harf, Aaron Reed, Ben Greenwood, Collin Wright and George Daniels as they travel cross country.

On Wednesday, July 5, FUEL TV dedicates an entire day to the female rippers of action sports with Wahine Wednesday. Watch the girls take over, as they go big, ride hard, and throw caution into the wind to rise to the top of the sports they love. Premiering that day are films “Sacre Bleu,” featuring O’Neill’s female surfers as they visit the Outback, Indonesia and secret spots in Hawaii and “You Remind Me of Me,” following the Gallaz girls team plus an encore presentation of The FUEL TV Experiment Film “Skate Girl” by Susanne Tabata.
