Huntington Beach, CA – More than 500 contestants and 300,000 spectators will descend upon Huntington Beach, California, for the largest World Qualifying Series (WQS) event, The US Open of Surfing. The event held Monday, July 26ththrough Sunday, August 1st offers a rare chance to see top surfers from around the globe competing for $175,000 in cash and prizes. Gravis surfers Kalani Robb, Timmy Reyes, Dustin Cuizon, Tom Dosland, Dave Pinto, Zander Morton, Kaimi Huihui, Jordy Brough and Gabriel Escudero are slated to compete. As the ’02 US Open Champ, Kalani will be one to keep an eye on as he goes against last year’s winner, Corey Lopez, and tough competitor, Andy Irons.
