I do all the interviews on this blog myself, but this one was just too good to not post. For this one time and one time only, I’ll run someone else’s interview. Here’s skate writing legend, Chris Nieratko, and his interview with P Diddy.
As it reads on his website www.chrisnieratko.com:
Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs represents a great many things to a large number of people around the world. He is first and foremost a successful businessman. Puffy is an entertainment entrepreneur who continues to give the people what they want. He is an artist, rapper, producer and fashion designer. And above all, he is a good father and provider Mr. Combs embodies the all-American success story, a real life rags-to-riches tale no different than that of Michael Jackson or Pee Wee Herman. Puff is a shining star that many urban children proudly look up to. And so it is my pleasure to bring to you this exclusive, deep and moving tell-all interview I personally had with Puffy at a recent record release party in Manhattan. Although you may find it is somewhat brief, I assure you that it gets to the core of his essence and is no less hard-hitting. Enjoy.
Hey, how’s it going?
Great party, huh?
Yeah, it’s . . . uh, real nice, man.
If you don’t mind me asking, are you waiting for the bathroom?
No. No, I’m not.
Is this the door to the men’s room?
No, that’s the ladies room.
Which one is the men’s room?
I think it’s that one over there.
Thanks a lot.
