Hawaiians Dominate Mexican Pipeline

Brazilian born and Hawaiian bred Kiron Jabour has claimed the biggest win of his career today at the Quiksilver Pro Puerto Escondido in Mexico. The ASP 4 Star event saw an incredible range of surf throughout the waiting period, with the final day climaxing in pumping barrels at the Mexican Pipeline.

Putting their actual Pipeline experience to good use, the Hawaiians dominated all event, and eventually took all 4 slots in the final heat. Last year’s event winner Clay Marzo looked unstoppable all day, but couldn’t find the gems in the final, finishing 4th. Ezekiel Lau continued his roll, following up a win at the Copa Quik event in EL Salvador a few weeks ago with a close second behind Jabour at this event. Zeke is having quite the trip down South. Billy Kemper of Maui would be the 4th Hawaiian to make the final, and placing 3rd.
