History Made At Snapper Rocks

Hawaii’s Sunny Garcia made history Wednesday, March 2nd in the Quik Pro at Snapper Rocks on Australia’s Gold Coast by being the first top rated WCT surfer to compete on a Surftech Tuflite surfboard. Sunny won his first heat of the Quik Pro decisively by beating Lee Winkler of Australia and Travis Logie of South Africa while riding his 6’1 Channel Islands Tuflite. Sunny lost his round three heat to eventual event winner Mick Fanning. When interviewed after his first round heat, Sunny said that “the Channel Islands Tuflite is the best board that I have in my quiver right now and I’ll probably ride it at Bells and other events on the tour as well.
