How to do Los Cabos with Alana Blanchard and friends; video

Each year, one of the most looked forward to surf contests south of the border is the Los Cabos Open of Surf. Mexico’s biggest surf contest, it’s quickly approaching when it gets underway June 6 and has a waiting period until June 16.

Consisting of a women’s Qualifying Series event and a Pro Junior contest, it’s definitely a laid-back contest with a focus on locale right at the infamous break Zippers.

To get us ready for the Los Cabos Open of Surf this year, Chris Cote is handing the reins over to the wonderful Alana Blanchard to show the world How to do Los Cabos properly.

But Blanchard wouldn’t be able to do it without her best friends Leila Hurst and Camille Brady — bringing your best friends with you to Los Cabos is one of the first things you have to bring to Los Cabos.

The trio (and Cote) enjoy a few days surfing, wining, dining and lounging in the warm Los Cabos sun to show you how it’s done. If you want to combine a contest vibe with your next surf trip, get a trip to Los Cabos booked for early June.
