Little Egg Harbor, NJ August, 13, 2010 –Jetty is thrilled to announce the officially addition of Jamie DeWitt Baittinger to its surf team. Jamie is originally from Long Beach Island, NJ where Jetty spawned its surf/skate/lifestyle brand of apparel, but she currently resides in Kill Devil Hills, NC with her husband. They had relocated to San Diego, CA for a while, but “decided to move back east, closer to our families. The OBX was a no-brainer for us -endless surfing and fishing plus affordable housing.”
After a six-year break from contest surfing, Jamie returned to the scene in 2008 in a big way. In 2009, Jamie took first in the Fosters Belmar Women’s Pro. She is currently competing in the ESA OBX district where she’s won three women’s events, made the open finals twice and most recently placed 2nd beating out some humbled gentlemen.
Look for Mrs. Dewitt-Baittinger to be competing in the ECSC, Belmar Hannah Pro, and the Unsound Pro in the coming months, shredding up her current stomping grounds around the OBX, and playing a role in the upcoming Red Bull Carissa and Maya Project.
