Despite rogue waves washing onto the Kam Highway and warnings from the Hawaii Civil Defense, we made it through the night. The surf still appears to be on the rise, right now it’s about 20-feet Hawaiian style, so double that and you’ll get of face heights of nearly 40 feet. Waimea is breaking but conditions aren’t quite up to par for the Quiksilver In Memory Of Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational to run—it’s looking like tomorrow could be a go though.
