Following the Volcom Fiji Pro, Kolohe Andino has suffered a serious ankle injury while training in San Clemente and will be sidelined for several weeks, in the height of his rookie year on the ASP World Tour.

The official diagnosis is a grade-3 high sprained ankle and a grade 2-3 Lisfranc ligament torn and we will be out of the water for 8-10 weeks, forcing him to sit out the current Billabong Pro Jeffery’s Bay in South Africa.

Andino comments, “What I have learned with all this is that you don’t take anything for granted and live every second to its fullest because it can be snatched from you like that.”

We wish Kolohe a quick recovery and hope he gets back into the water ASAP.
