GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA, December 8th, 2009: Kustom Airstrike, the global search to identify and rain cash on the surfer who commits to the craziest aerial maneuver, is back on for 2010.
"We've confirmed the judging panel today, and we are completely stoked on the guys that made the final cut," said Kustom's General Manager, Harry Truscott.
"Parko coming on board is obviously massive news. He's been doing mad punts for years, and he brings a keen surfers eye to the panel."
Also joining the judging panel for 2010 is Kai Neville, regarded by many as the future of surf film-making, following the recent release of his film Modern Collective.
"I met the Kustom team and realised that we both shared a very similar vision for the future of surfing," said Kai.
"Modern Collective was all about airs and throwing fins. We were constantly hunting for the biggest ramps we could find to capture airs that had never been seen before."
Like Modern Collective, the mission of the Kustom Airstrike is to redefine surfing through modern aerial surfing.
Kai is also collaborating with Kustom on a unique trip to an undisclosed location with 5 of the world's best surfers trying to capture a manoeuvrer that would have been previously believed impossible.
The judging panel is rounded out by STAB Magazine’s Sam McIntosh, Surfing Mag's Travis Ferre, and Harry Truscott representing Kustom.
"We've got a bunch more tricks up our sleeve for the 2010 event" said Truscott.
"More will come to light as the clock counts down to 01.01.2010. For now, let's just say, this years event is going to be crazy!"
