#Loosebehavior@ Collab Show Set For December 7 In Oceanside
20 Artists X 20 Photographers = Cool
A follow up to last year’s #loosebehavior art show, #loosebehavior 2 is a collaboration installation between artists and photographers opening Saturday December 7 at the beautiful LinkSoul Whitewalls Gallery in Oceanside, California – a beautiful gallery with vaulted ceilings, clean walls and easy visibility and access from the historic Coast Highway 101.
With a foundation in the action sports, music and fashion industries, a roster of artists and photographers have been paired up to create two (3 ft x 3 ft) photo x artwork collab pieces on custom-finished wood panels for the opening night gallery installation with a total of 20 medium-format pieces from the hearts, minds and hands of 20 industry creatives: “We curated this show to bring together a diverse group of creatives to do art collaborations for a good cause,” said Dave Weidetz – artist and art director for Dragon Sunglasses. “I am really excited to see how the installation comes to life.”
The #loosebehavior 2 roster includes skate culture icons Craig Stecyk and Wes Humpston of Dogtown fame, Kelly Slater’s personal photographer Todd Glaser, world famous tattoo artist and graffiti legend Honkey Kong and Rolling Stones photographer Rebecca Joelson – among many others including UK fotografista Lucia Griggi: “When Dave came to me with the idea of the show my head was spinning with ideas and thought it a great new angle. I am excited to see how the pieces turn out and feel privileged to be working alongside some really talented people.”
#loosebehavior 2 will have a catered Artist/Media /VIP hour prior to the doors opening. The premier night will be a public event and the gallery has a capacity of about 300 people. Organizers are expecting over 1000 industry and public figures throughout the night.
Proceeds from the show will benefit the Waves for Water foundation and help fund bringing clean water to the disaster victims in the Philippines.
Boom Headphones will host DJs and sound for the night and gift bags will be swept up by artists, VIPs and raffle winners to include product, inserts from sponsors, a commemorative zine and limited signed prints from the show.
