Major Property Damage At Fred Patacchia’s House
According to numerous reports, a portion of Hawaiian pro surfer Fred Patacchia’s beachfront property on the North Shore of Oahu has fallen into the sea. After the sand in front of his disappeared (some say it was taken to another Oahu beach), a smallish swell combined with a high tide to wipe out Freddy P’s front yard and pool. Situated in front of ‘Monster Mush’ it’s an odd time of the year for beach erosion to be affecting beachfront houses as large winter swells have yet to pound the North Shore. While Fred is in Portugal for the Rip Curl Pro, his dad had this to say to the local media, “”We’ve asked for help and no help came … We were telling them that if we don’t get something soon we’re in dire straits. At 10:30, the pool fell. It collapsed … We lost our entire beachfront.” In total, Fred Sr. said they lost up to 5,000 square feet. Thankfully nobody was injured.
