Making weird things to ride waves on at the Red Bull Party Wave

How does making really weird contraptions to ride waves on with a group of your friends sound? Well that’s essentially what Red Bull’s Party Wave event in Waikiki is.

For the third year in a row, teams gathered to emulate Red Bull’s infamous Flugtag event, except with the caveat that the vehicles they make shouldn’t fly but should catch waves. Once the team performs their skit they go out into the surf at Waikiki and catch some waves. And that’s the beauty of it: it’s simplicity.

Other than that it’s all about having as much fun as possible. Team Blue Tribe ended up taking the victory, but everyone on hand on August 28 were the real winners.
