An overturned car in the Pipeline right of way with several badass Da Hui types standing around it usually spells trouble. Luckily for the car and its occupants, members of the band The Offspring, it was just a filming for a music video. Sunny Garcia, Eddie and Makua Rothman, Kala Alexander, and an assortment of other tough guys got to play the role of … well … themselves. A crane (not Johnny Boy) was used to flip over the unsuspecting car.
The waiting period for the Hansen’s Energy Drink Pro begins Monday, February 17th. Looking to win it for an incredible third time in a row will be Kauai’s Bruce Irons. He will face stiff competition from Pipe locals, fellow Kauai boys, and WQS battlers alike. It should be quite an event seeing as how the waves have been pretty damn good at the fabled Banzai. Danny Fuller celebrated his 21st birthday with a huge rager at the house he shares with lensman Daren Crawford. It seemed like the whole North Shore was there as well as some of Danny’s friends who’d made the trip from Kauai to celebrate the big day. Mark Healy, who recently joined Danny on team Quiksilver, had a warning for Mr. Fuller: “Tomorrow, be prepared for the worst day of your life.
