Top surfers from the West Coast will meet the best surfers from across the nation during . The PSTA next stop in Ventura, California, at Seaside Park on Friday, August 25 through Sunday, August 27. The competition, scheduled to co-incide with the California Beach Festival offer’s thousands of beach goer’s the opportunity to see America’s best surfers in competition.
The Festival will feature, live music, activities, sampling and displays throughtout the weekend. The event is unique in that this is the first time the Professional Surfing Tour of America has visited Ventura and is the third stop following a hugely successful event in at the San Clemente Pier in May. The tour features pro/am men shortboard surfing, the “Surfing Girl Magazine” pro/am women shortboard surfing division, and the pro/am men longboard surfing. The tours format features heats of four surfers competing against each other, with the best two advancing. Top competitior’s include Jeremy Sommerville, current men’s shortboard points leader, Jodie Nelson, current women’s shortboard points leader, and Josh Mohr, current men’s longboard points leader.

The event continues through Sunday with the finals scheduled for 12 noon. All action will be televised by the Outdoor Life Network (OLN).
