San Clemente Pier kept intact its uncanny gift of producing quality conditions for major surf contests with rippable waist-high sets under sunny skies on day one of the PSTA Pro, the third stop on the 2002 PSTA Pro Surfing Tour.
San Clemente Pier, considered one of the best contest waves on the west coast, worked its magic yet again, providing welcome 2′-3 lefts and rights groomed by light winds. The swell continues to build with the help of a southern hemisphere swell expected to increase throughout the weekend peaking on Sunday.
