The redesign, a nine-month global process, launches with five live webcasts of global events over the next two months via the new Quiksilver Media Player.
The events include the Kelly Slater Invitational on August 21-27, the Quiksilver Pro Japan on August 31-September 7, the Boost Mobile Pro Presented by Quiksilver on September 13-18, the Quiksilver Pro France on September 23-October 2 and the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships on October 8-16.
Quiksilver.com integrates exciting new features and a fun interactive design to deliver an unparalleled action sports experience. With separate portals for the Americas, Europe, Australia, Japan and China, the new site represents the company’s global expansion and boardriding heritage. In the coming months, Quiksilver, Inc. also plans to update the websites of two of its other boardriding brands, www.Roxy.com and www.Quiksilveredition.com.
The brand new Quiksilver Media Player provides action sports videos and music to a global audience, and was used recently to broadcast Danny Way’s epic jump over the Great Wall of China. The new site connects visitors to the latest Quiksilver events, products, team info, galleries and industry news. Visitors will also find previews of upcoming collections, photo galleries with over 400 new images, videos and desktop wallpapers. The Team Rider section has been redesigned to truly celebrate the accomplishments and personalities of Quiksilver’s teams of surfers, skaters and snowboarders with hundreds of new bios, interviews, photos and videos.

The Quiksilver Americas site will soon be offered in both English and Spanish, with the Quiksilver Europe site offered in English, Spanish and French.
