The Rip Curl Pro main event will resume this morning at Bells Beach, Australia in excellent one to 1.5 metre (three to five feet) waves.
With the swell increasing overnight, it was easy for organisers to make the decision to send out the surfers this morning, as classically clean walls of water were consistently pumping through the famed surfing arena.
There is a lot of focus this morning on the two remaining heats of round three with defending Rip Curl Pro champion Trent Munro (AUS) up against Foster’s ASP Men’s World Tour stalwart Michael Lowe (AUS) in heat 15 and the final heat of the round consisting of Joel Parkinson (AUS) and Danny Wills (AUS).
At this stage the event will look to complete round three and four and then come back tomorrow as swell is expected to build throughout the day and tonight.
Tomorrow we could potentially see the final being held in some of the best Bells Beach waves ever seen for the event.
Make sure you stay tuned to www.ripcurl.com/ripcurlpro or www.aspworldtour.com for all the live action, updates and notes and quotes from heats throughout the day.
Following will be more much anticipated match ups in round four.
