Cardiff, CA — The 10th Annual Hansen/Machado Surf Classic & Cardiff Beach Fair will take place on September 24th & 25th, 2005 at Cardiff Reef in San Diego, CA., as part of the 2nd Annual Woodie Week Festival.
Spanning 10 days, including two weekends, this beach festival will incorporate live music, woodies, surfing, art shows, golf tournaments, food, fun, street fairs and a film festival for the entire family to enjoy. This is a community event that will focus on a collection of activities to encourage a variety of participants from all over the world to come and enjoy the beautiful resources of San Diego’s Coastal North County.
Following the Hansen/Machado Surf Classic event, on Monday, September 26th, Rob Machado, along with fellow surfers and a unique group of celebrities and athletes, will tee it up for charity at the 4th Annual Rob Machado “Par 3 Experience” Golf Tournament at Lomas Santa Fe Executive Course in San Diego, CA. All proceeds from The Golf Tournament and Silent Auction will be donated to The Rob Machado Foundation — created to develop funding for music education programs in the local San Diego community. The “Par 3 Experience” is an idea conceived by Rob to promote a fun and relaxing style of golf. The “Experience” is not your typical golf tournament…that you can count on!
Woodie Week, with major markets including Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, will be supported by regional and national TV; print and broadcast campaigns; online and radio promotions; on-site exposure and initiatives; POP; a national sweepstakes; and a direct mail component.
