Rusty Sponsors NSSA

Reef also signs three-year national sponsorship.

Huntington Beach, Ca. (October 2, 2000) – The NSSA is pleased to announce that Rusty has entered into a three-year agreement as the official championship sponsor of the NSSA. Reef has also signed a three-year National sponsor agreement with the NSSA through the 2003 season.

The Rusty national sponsorship agreement includes the NSSA National Championships, the NSSA Western Championships, the NSSA Eastern Championships, the NSSA Interscholastic State Championships and the NSSA Northeast Interscholastic Championships.

The three-year deal will run through the 2003 National Championships and the year NSSA will be celebrating its 25-year anniversary. Rusty has been the NSSA°s official championship sponsor since 1994.

Reef has signed a three-year National sponsor agreement with the NSSA through the 2003 season. “We are proud to be a supporter of the NSSA and all that it stands for,” says Rafael Patterson, Reef promotions and national surf team manager. “With the NSSA, Reef will be able to contribute to the growth and stability of amateur surfing through one of the best organizations in the United States.”

Body Glove, Surfing/Bodyboarding Magazine, Huntington Surf and Sport, Swell.com, and K Grip Skate will continue as National Sponsors for the 2000/01 season.

The NSSA has also lined up Regional Conference sponsors for 2000/01: O’Neill has signed on to sponsor the Southwest, Gold Coast, Southeast, Southeast/North, and Northeast conferences; Rip Curl, Channel Islands, Prorider Eyewear, and Dragon have signed on as Southwest Conference sponsors; Rip Curl and Channel Islands will also be sponsoring the Gold Coast Conference along with Ventura Surf Shop; Hurley will continue its ongoing sponsorship of the NSSA Jr. and Hawaii conferences; and Billabong has signed on as a Southeast Conference sponsor.

The NSSA currently operates over eight regions in the United States including NSSA Southwest (Southern California); NSSA Gold Coast (Central California); NSSA Southeast (South-central Florida); NSSA Southeast North (North-central Florida); NSSA Florida Gulf; NSSA Northeast (New England); NSSA Hawaii, and the NSSA Jr.
