Sliding Liberia Showing This Week

Coming in April to Surf Theatre Sliding Liberia: A story of War, Peace and Surfing by Britton Caillouette and Nicholai Lidow to raise funds for SURF AID INTENATIONAL. Follow 4 young surfers as they travel through the war torn West African Nation of Liberia in search of perfect waves. Besides rediscovering a break that could be the best kept secret in the world, they find something more important; a way to travel responsibly in the 21st century.    

Finding exciting West African waves that had never been ridden along with learning how the world can be made a better place through the experience of surfing. Great music by Todd Hannigan and awesome cinematography are now making this film in demand all over the world.    

Winner of several film festivals including Emerging Filmmaker at X-Dance, Grand Prize Winner at the Alpinist Film Festival, and Best Feature Documentary at the San Fransico Independent Film Festival.

At the Encinitas show, musician Todd Hannigan will play live prior to the screening. Todd wrote most of the music in Sliding Liberia, his appearance will be a special treat to the audience that evening. Todd will be playing at the Huntington Beach screening of Quest in May.
