Everyone is invited to the grand opening of the newest exhibit at the California Surf Museum on Saturday, June 12 from 1-4pm, in Oceanside. Presiding at the 1:30 ribbon-cutting ceremony will be President Daryl Dick and CSM board member, Ric Riavic, who conceived of and researched this latest exhibition. Volunteers from Da Huns Surf Club were instrumental in creating a totally new look on the display floor.
Titled “The Surfer/Shapers, and sponsored by TransWorld SURF, the show highlights a number of the most influential, innovative surfboard shapers, and traces board design from huge wooden planks to ultra-modern thrusters of today. Feel free to stop on by for refreshments and an informative look at the California Surf Museum’s latest offering. Summer hours are 10am-4pm daily.
