Use a lot of speed and get out into the open face of the wave. Put pressure on your inside rail as you start your gaff.
Steps Two And Three:
Get low and use your front arm for leverage. Turn as hard as you can without digging your rail too much.
Steps Four, Five, And Six:
While releasing pressure on your front foot, redirect your board back into the whitewash. Make sure to keep your weight distributed evenly.
Let the whitewater push you around to forward position as you regain control.
