ISF Jr. High Series Wraps Up The Season
The future surf stars of Southern California were shining at the Interscholastic Surf Federation (ISF) Championships this past Mother’s Day weekend. Teams from jr. high and middle schools in San Diego and Orange County were representing during the two-day event at Oceanside Harbor. There were clear skies and decent size waves for the groms along with great vibes as team coaches barbecued for the competitors and all the moms at the beach.
Highlights of the ISF Championships included close finals in just about every category and the tandem and expression sessions. From the looks of it, kids had been practicing hard to pull some crazed aerial maneuvers and actually stuck a few waves during the tandem heat.
