Oceanside, CA March 12, 2008 – The California Surf Museum Board of Directors is excited to announce the 2008 plans to relocate CSM to 312 Pier View Way in the City of Oceanside. This new address will be an historic opportunity to become a truly significant part of the world surfing heritage. The funds generated from the Inaugural Paddle Out fundraiser will help CSM provide interior improvements to its new facility to showcase surfing for decades to come. The new facility will allow CSM to expand the exhibit space, provide additional educational opportunities and increase its much-needed archival space.
The Inaugural Paddle Out Fundraiser will be held at the beautiful Ocean House Restaurant in Carlsbad, CA on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 5–10pm. There will be live music, fabulous Hawaiian-style buffet and a silent auction with many limited edition items. Tickets for the event will be $55 per person for members and $65 for non-members. Tickets at the door will be $75, if available. To buy your tickets early and reserve a spot, please purchase directly at the California Surf Museum. Surfing legends will be in attendance to mingle with the crowd. Please save the date to give back to the sport of surfing and to honor the history of surfing with the prestige it deserves. Please contact CSM firstname.lastname@example.org or call 760.721.6876 for all tax-deductible auction items and to find out about sponsorship opportunities for this ground-breaking event.
