Leading Action Sports Title To Host Exclusive Surf Village and Stage
Oceanside, Calif., July 19, 2005 – TransWorld Media announced today that TransWorld SURF will serve as the official surf magazine of the 2005 Bank of the West Beach Games and the Honda U.S. Open of Surfing, July 22-31 at California’s famed Huntington Beach Pier.
The Beach Games bring together top surfers from around the globe and action sports superstars of skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross with musical artists and fans of surf culture for the largest ocean-front exposition in the world. More than 350,000 spectators are expected to attend the 2005 Beach Games and Honda U.S. Open of Surfing.
From Thursday, July 28 — Sunday, July 31, TransWorld SURF will bring action sports to life at the festival through its interactive TransWorld SURF Village and Stage, a central hub for athletes, surf enthusiasts and spectators of all ages, located adjacent to the main festival area.

In addition to performances by up and coming bands such as Burning Star and 4th Avenue Jones, exclusive prize giveaways and other on-stage events, TransWorld SURF Editor Chris Cote will host a daily, talk-show-style event on the TransWorld SURF Village Stage entitled, “Meet the Pro, with live appearances by top surfers. Pros who have made past appearances include Taj Burrow, Rob Machado and CJ Hobgood.
