Update From The Roxy Camp

[IMAGE 2]The Roxy Surf Jam is about to commence at one of the world’s most idyllic locations of Tavarua and Namotu Islands, Fiji, with a new swell due to arrive. This is the first contest of the 2001 ASP Women’s World Championship Tour (WCT).

Fifteen of the top women surfers in the world and one wild card will be competing in the prestigious Roxy Fiji Surf Jam. The event will be held on Tavarua in the Fijian Islands at one of the most consistent spots in the world, Cloudbreak. The event starts tomorrow (April 28, 2001), and runs through May 5, 2001, featuring Roxy phenom, seventeen year-old Sofia Mulanovich and three-time World Champion Layne Beachley.Roxy Fiji Surf Jam

The 2001 Roxy Capitola Classic was held on April 7 in Capitola, California. The competitors of this all-girl longboard contest were treated to free food, raffle prizes, goodie bags, and an excellent day of surfing. The Capitola Classic was a great venue for the girls to hang with their friends and have a fun day at the beach.

The next Roxy Surf Camp will be held in Corpus Christi, Texas May 5 and Galveston, Texas May 6. The camp emphasizes ocean safety, surfing etiquette, and fun. The day is filled with relay races, prize giveaways and a raffle drawing, which includes heaps of great Roxy products.
