Recently, I borrowed a GoPro off a mate Lachie Pennefather. I'd never really put a GoPro through it's paces, so I took it down to a lonely place in Byron Bay.I was keen to make a little video, but not realising what avenue to take, I tried a few different angles/mounts with the GoPro.The waves were quite chunky (and I wasn't wearing a leggie). I duck-dived a wave whilst the GoPro was strapped to my head. It got ripped off...I'll let you watch the video to see what happened.Filmed/Edited by Johnny Abegghttp://johnnyabegg.comMusic by Lee Rosevere, "Super Goo mix"http://freemusicarchive.org/' music/' Lee_Rosevere/' Goo_Gtr/' Lee-Rosevere_Goo-Gtr_supergoomix
Consider two representations of two very big waves, below. The first is a photograph of Mike Parsons at Cortes Bank. The second is a video of Garrett McNamara near Nazare, Portugal. Now take out some measuring tape and make the distance of one foot between your hands. That's the amount, according to the Billabong XXL committee, that McNamara's wave is bigger than Parsons's wave.
