Videos: Alex Gray’s summer sessions

Alex Gray has chalked up one hell of a Southern Hemi season, jet setting around the bottom half of the globe for standout sessions in Fiji, Mexico, and Tahiti, as evidenced by his latest bit of video. The Palos Verdes, California, local has been putting in a lot of heavy water time in the last couple years, including during the historic Teahupoo session at last year’s Billabong Pro Tahiti, where he was one of the few hellmen who actually made it out of one of the mutated beasts exploding over the reef that day. This new Teahupoo clip from Alex and filmmaker Mike Nulty is significantly less intense than that session, but that’s not to say that there aren’t some absolutely lethal tubes being threaded here, along with cameos by Koa Smith, Kai Barger, and Laird Hamilton on a SUP.

Alex went to Teahupoo, Tahiti:

Alex went to Fiji:

Alex went to Puerto Escondido, Mexico:
