Volcom Crustaceous Tour, Seacow – Sebastian Inlet

THE SEACOW CHAMPIONSHIPS Dec. 3rd at Sebastian Inlet, Fl

The final Seacow event of the year was held at Sebastian inlet the first weekend in December. Close to 60 competitors gathered on a very chilly day with 2 to 4 foot tricky overwedged conditions. A cold front pushed through which gave us some shifty surf but also brought 25 to 30 mph winds for the day increasing throughout the day.The tent only blew away once nearly taking everyone out. Although the wind was uncomfortable, the majority stuck around for the entire event. The conditions were tricky with a sturdy drift going into the jetty at first peak. A very successful event to end the year. A giant thanks to our sponsors that committed for the year, Globe Shoes, K-grip and K-leash, Flexdex Skateboards, Transworld Surf Magazine, Dragon Sunglasses, XCEL Wetsuits and Taco City. These companies helped make these events unreal and we are looking forward to a huge year in 2001. Some of the people that ! I couldn’t have done these events without are Eric Fifer from Natural art Surf Shop, Dave Hart( owner of Harts Surf) who was at all the events commentating and helping with everything, Lindsey and Rachel, and the judges who sat in for a few heats, a huge thanks. The Crustacious Tour Championships will be held March 17 and 18th at 54th Street in Newport Beach, Ca. Please Check the Volcom web site for those who qualify for the event.
