Rip Curl and the Hawaii North Shore Lifeguard Association have todayannounced there will be another major joint fundraiser in support ofBethany Hamilton on November 29 at Waimea Falls park.
With the attention of the surfing world on Hawaii’s North Shoreduring the Rip Curl Cup as part of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing,the benefit is destined to attract vast interest with more than 1000people expected.
The Action Sports Group – SG, SURFER, and SURFING magazines, andFosters are supporting partners for the night.
Following the success of the recent Kauai Benefit Night last weekendin aid of Bethany, Oahu residents and the North Shore surfingcommunity will have the opportunity to show joint support for theNorth Shore Lifeguards and the “Friends of Bethany Hamilton” on thesame night.
“Rip Curl is proud to be spearheading such an important fundraisingeffort on the North Shore this winter for Bethany and the Lifeguards,and we’re anticipating a massive turnout”, said Adam Sharp, MarketingDirector for Rip Curl.
“Pat Kelly and his team at the Lifeguard Association do an amazingjob year after year, so it’s great for everyone to appreciate theirinvaluable service”, Sharp added.
“This fundraising event means a lot to SG magazine. Bethany is an importantmember of the women’s surf community and we at SG Magazine want to help herand her family in any way we can. We hope this event will not only bringthem the resources and support they need, but also show how much we careabout Bethany”, said Robyn Lass, editor of SG magazine.
The night will have an action packed agenda with live music, videos,a Rip Curl fashion show and a silent auction being the main drawcards.
The silent auction has attracted fantastic industry support fromHawaii and the US mainland so far.
World renowned photographers Larry ‘Flame’ Moore and Art Brewer haveeach donated legendary framed images from their personal collections,while famed photogs Sean Davey and Jim Russi has also donated severalicon framed photographs
SURFER magazine will auction off an LA Lakers VIP package of 12tickets for the Lakers January 17 game at the Staples Center in LA.The package will include VIP car parking for two people, and VIPhospitality, food and drinks for 12 people in the SKYBOX on it’s ownprivate floor.
Signed surfboards from many of the World’s Top 45 surfers will alsobe on hand for auction.
Fosters beer will also have an integral role to play with cold beerfreely flowing on tap all night.

The Fundraiser at Waimea Falls will run from 7pm – midnight, SaturdayNovember 29.
