New Division! Boys U10!
We are adding a Boys Under 10 Shortboard division to this season.  This will be the perfect division for those boys who can paddle and catch their own waves, but are still a bit young to take on the Boys U12.  Boys U10 will not be a Surfing America USA Championship division so boys wanting to have a chance to make it into the USA Championships or be considered for Boys U14 Prime will need to surf Boys U12 as well.

Southern California Host Families Needed for USA Championships!
We all know traveling is getting expensive.  Airfare from the East Coast and Hawaii is through the roof and some airlines are charging $150 per board each way.  WSA is looking for families willing to host visiting surfers from Hawaii, the East Coast and Texas Gulf, so they can afford to travel to compete in the SIMA Surfing America USA Championships August 24 – 30.  We will act as the clearing house.  Let us know if you are interested and how many people you can accommodate.  If you have kids competing and are willing to host a minor, let us know.  We will put you in touch with competitors who would appreciate a little WSA hospitality.  One of the greatest things about surfing is meeting surfers from other parts of the country.  Just reply to this email or email Greg Cruse and let us know what type of accommodations you can offer.
