On January 31 Boost Mobile’s Matt Welsh was in a motorcycle accident and suffered severe head trauma, leaving him in a medically induced coma. Since that time the industry has rallied to help raise funds for Matt and his family.

Boost Mobile hosted a fund raising event last month at the Rib Trader in San Clemente for our good friend Matt Welsh, a graphic artist at Boost who recently suffered a head injury and is currently in a coma. We're pretty sure the Trader hasn't seen a full house like this in quite some time; the place was packed! Friends and family from far and wide came out in support of Matt and a nice chunk of cash was raised to help Matt's family with the extreme cost of medical care. The event started off with some early dinners, acoustic tunes by Evening Hatch, lots of libations and an ongoing raffle that saw some seriously sweet product up for grabs. As the night progressed and things got a bit looser shall we say, the infamous Cholulas took the stage for some ass kickin' country jams and the night wrapped with everyone having had a most excellent time in the name of our brother, Matt!! Make sure to check out www.themattwelshstore.bigcartel.com to find out how you can score a limited edition support t-shirt and help a fallen comrade!
