Shoes, Brews, and Barbecues: Transworld Hosts Open House for Shoe Brands

On August 7th, Transworld will host its first annual footwear rep show. Road reps from several of the biggest footwear companies will set up booths in the parking lot, and more than 40 brands and retailers are confirmed to come down and check out the latest gear.

In early May, Steve Clare – So Cal rep for Krew, Supra and Deathwish skateboards – started talks with Transworld Skateboarding’s Eric Stricker. Clare wanted to team up to do a regional shoe show since the ASR dates fall slightly too late for shoe reps. After talks with Stricker and Transworld SKATE Marketing Director Ken Lewis, the first annual “Shoes, Brews, and BBQs” rep show was born

Ball Park franks are providing wieners for everyone, and there will be a TJ taco cart, as well, and plenty of cheap beer. The Transworld Skateboarding crew will be dragging out a ton of skate obstacles (including a plexiglass replica of the Shenzen Drangonback), and afterwards, a bunch of people are gonna jump on a bus at to go down to Spreckles theater in San Diego for the premier of the Fallen video, Ride The Sky.
