European skateboard distribution and production company HLC is proud to announce a partnership with FLIP skateboards. Founded in 1991 by Jeremy Fox and Ian Deacon, FLIP has become one of the biggest, strongest and most recognizable skate brands in the world. This move will see HLC producing and distributing FLIP boards in Europe in their state of the art facilities in Irún, Spain.
“We started Flip in Europe in 1991, and so for us this move to HLC really feels like coming home. We are super excited to be joining forces and it feels great for us to be making our Flip skateboards in Europe. The timing is right for a new approach to better support the shops and we look forward to helping the European skate business really take off. HLC has built an incredible operation in Europe and we are both happy and honored to partner with them.” Says Fox.
HLC was founded in 2001 by the Iraola brothers, Igor, Iban and Ander. The ongoing development on their facilities and processing methods have seen the European skateboard manufacturer and distributor going from strength to strength.
“We are proud to bring FLIP Skateboards to Europe, this is a new exciting era and huge step for the skateboard industry. We are proud to do the distribution as well to ensure that all models are available in Europe, and are planning to have a Flip Team European tour in 2018.” Says, Iban Iraola.
