The 2017 Skateboarding Hall of Fame ceremony recap; photos

On Friday, May 12, skate legends from near and far came together at the City National Grove in Anaheim for the 8th annual Induction Ceremony and Icon Awards for the Skateboarding Hall of Fame.

The event welcomed a new group of legends to the illustrous club that only few can claim membership to. According to Transworld Skateboarding, this year’s inductees including Bob Mohr, Gregg Weaver, Russ Howell, Shogo Kubo, Kim Cespedes, Vicki Vickers, Mike McGill, Eric Dressen, and Daewon Song.

The recipients of the Icon Award included Sonia Catalano, Jim Phillips, and Thrasher Magazine.

Event sponsors and participants included Vans, ISHOF, IASC, GSF, the HOF Executive Committee, as well as Todd Huber at Skate Lab, Lance Mountain, Jim Muir, Laura Thornhill-Caswell, Steve Olson, David Hackett, and Thomas Barker.
